Prayer Request for July 5, 2013

Cole- We will leave this place as a changed place. 

Myra- I ask for acceptance, patience, strength, grace and love.

Sam- Our last day on Eagle St. will be effective.  We all go home and keep the same attitude and willingness to serve. 

Debby- Pray for a great last day with the kids at Eagle Wings.  Pray there would be peace and cooperation throughout the day.  Help us to continue show God’s love to the children with all we do.  Continue to keep Hy and Libba and their ministry in your prayers.  Please pray for the lives of these children and that they all will all know God. 

Nichole- That the Eagle street kids get to finish their shields so they have a sense of worth and the word of God to guide them.  That we plant seeds and/or reach the kids God wants us not to miss.  Protection over the team and family.

Kierra- For today to go great and for God to look out for us.

Cheryl- For Hy and Libba, bless them greatly and protect them always.  For peace, joy, and love for our team.  Protection for our families. 

John- That most shield designs would be completed today and used for the Lords intent in childrens lives.  Protection, Joy and healing.

Morgan- Strength to show these kids all the love we can today.  For Hy and Libba to be blessed and have rest. 

Chris- The word of God to take root in the children. 

Wes- God’s protection on my family.  A strong finish for the team.  Strength to overcome the tiredness.

Prayer Request for July 4, 2013

Nichole- Please break the team out of their comfort zones.  Please help us show Jesus to people, let us hear what He hears and see what He sees.  Protection for my family and the team.

Sam- an open heart to where God wants me today.  That I can see everyone the way Jesus does and love them how He would.

Kierra- Keep us safe today.

Cole- I will be safe today while serving in the security area at Feed the Multitudes.

Wes- God’s protection over my family.  Ability to cook all day outside safely.

Cheryl- That when those divine appointments occur that we are not afraid to take a stand for God.  That we bring glory to God. 

Deb- For today-Feed the Multitudes- many would come to know Christ, lives change, give us strength and discernment while working today.

Morgan- That I would be open to whatever God has for me today.

John- Holy Spirit lead me to those who you want me to witness to. 

Myra-For God’s light to continue to break through the darkness that wants to keep me. 

Chris- Healing for a boy in a wheelchair.  He is a treasure.

Prayer Request July 3, 2013

Sam- God will use me and I will listen.  Strength and patience for our group. 

Kierra- Pray for that precious boy, Randy, that I fell in love with.

Wes- Continued strength to withstand temptations.  To get direction from the Holy Spirit for personal and mission future. 

Nichole- That God frees up time, a vehicle, and help for me to get to Susan to finish ministering to her and to clean her house.  This is still part of my calling down here. 

Myra- I pray for Jo-elle that he may seek and find God.  That he finds peace and love.  I pray for a refreshed army of angels to guide and protect us today. 

Cole- Jo-elle, that he will learn to love God. 

Chris- For a boy that is so lost and disruptive and quite possibly dangerous in his anger towards the world.  For the littlest ones who believed in Christ for the first time.

Morgan- God would put people in my path to encourage and love. 

Cheryl- Peace for my family!  For continued strength for Hy and Libba.  For the mission team to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit.  For peace and continued protection.  For protection for the kids on Eagle St 

John- Smooth, joyous day with the children we are ministering to.  Wisdom, joy and excellence. 

Debby- Continue to pray for us and the kids for our last day, that things would be calm.  The kids would cooperate.  Help them to see our and Christ’s love for them.  Pray for Hy and Libba, that God would contine to give them strength and endurance in this amazing ministry.  They are such a blessing to all.

Prayer Request for July 2, 2013-

Debby- May God equip us with strength when ministering to the Eagle Street boys and girls.  Also that there would be cooperation from the older boys and peace for everyone.  Be able to show God’s love.  Prayer for Hy and Libba.

Myra- I pray for a productive and meaningful day for the kids on Eagle St. 

John- Wisdom to bring peace, love and the lessons to Eagle St. kids.  Courage, victory, and joy.

Wes- God’s protection on my family.  Spiritual warfare prayers for our team and outreach on Eagle St. tonight from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Morgan- Peace as we minister on Eagle St.

Sam- Energy and patience for all on the team.  That the children will be open to what we say.

Cheryl- For patience, peace and guidance  For Hy and Libba and every child on Eagle St.  For all the people of New Orleans.

Cole- For VBS and the children.

Chris- Listening hearts and polite language from the children.  Order, fun and God’s presence at the vacation bible school and the dinner kid’s ministry.

Kierra- Pray for all those boys and girls.

Nichole- God’s strength to enter in and fill us all back up.  Please refill my compassion and love.  Take away my pain from old wounds being opened back up.  Protection for the team. 

Prayer Request for July 1, 2013-

Morgan- That I would feel better and my headache goes away. To have the attitude of Jesus today.
Nichole- God guides my every move today. God continues to speak loud and clear today. Continue to build relations within our team. Remove myself out of the way. Protection of friends and family.
Myra- For my husband to stay strong at home.
Cole- Choose a good school next year.
Chris- That Treachelle may be blessed by her new job. That Isach grows in the Lord. That Charles may find peace and hope.
Cheryl- That we are all listening for and following the promptings and whispers of the Holy Spirit.
Wes- Healing for team members. Protection for my family.
Debby- Please pray for Isaac and Treachelle that God continues to lead their walk and do amazing things through them. Prayers for my daughter Dena, that the C.T. scan comes back normal today and no Leukemia/Lymphoma is found.
John- God brings those He wants to Eagle Street today. Shield project impacts all that take part and He is working and bonding our team together.
Sam- Peace and understanding for me. That I will listen to what God is telling me.
Kierra- The healing of my cousin.

Prayer Requests for New Orleans Missions (June 30, 2013)—

Myra- That I find the one thing I was called here to do and do it well! (or more than one thing…)

Nichole- That I become solely Christ focused and take away my selfish ways.  Help me be what God knows I can be.  Help me reflect Jesus today.

Debby- Please pray we effectively minister to these boys and girls whom desperately need the love of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.

Cheryl- To be bold and courageous.  Following the promptings of the Holy Spirit.  To release the fear that comes with stepping outside your comfort zone.

John- That all supplies and things would be in place for victory and success with the Eagle Street Children.

Sam- I can let God take control of every aspect of my life on the trip.

Cole- Parents divorce

Morgan- That I would be open to whatever God has planned for me today!

Chris- That all missionaries for Christ can be bold and full of courage as divine opportunities are opened to them.

Kierra- That everything goes well and to accomplish what we came here to do.

Wes- God’s protection on my family.  Everyone is able to fully enter in today.

1.  There’s lots of gang on gang violence in the vicinity of Eagles Wings Ministry House.  Please pray for safety in the area.

I think the Lord is sending us Spiritual warriors!! Hooray!! We need them! Our needs ARE people related!! Kid related!!!! Terence, Isaac, Susan........We have lots of spiritual and relational needs! I am hoping that you can draw these three into a deeper ministry and healing.

And our Eagle boys are teetering!! Our littlest girls are also in trouble - one 9 year old girl has just this week experimented with sex with a ten year old boy and an 8 year old girl was present. Now they can't stop talking about it! They were all with us tonight! Also, when I picked them up, I watched a drug deal taking place on their front porch!! YIKES!! Thinks are getting hot!!!! Libba

 

Personal Team Prayer Requests

Cole Beckman – For my parents.  For deciding where to go to school next year.  For this mission trip.

Myra Burns – Making it through this final week with love with husband.  Peace about leaving my job behind. 

Cheryl Bradley – Prayers for peace and protection for my family, the mission team and myself.  Prayer for healing for Jonathan who hasn’t been feeling well for 2 weeks now.

Nichole Champeny - If I could ask for prayers for my marriage.  We are getting hammered to a level we haven't been at for years.  Also prayer to keep my family safe.  Prayers for boldness, courage and the ability to hear God loud and clear this week.  Direction and guidance to what He has called me to New Orleans to do.  Thank u so much. 

Sam Gerken – That finances will work out for the trip and this next week will be stress free.  Pray for our hearts to be open and ready for what God has planned.

Chris Slawson – For protection, quality sleep this week, being open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit, health for our main ministry partners Hy & Libba

Wes Slawson – God’s protection over my family!  Supernatural ease when getting all the pre-mission details finished.

Morgan Walker – All this week working at Day Camp.  I have 7th-9th grade and am assistant director of the camp.  Make time with family. Make time to read the Bible.  Peace as I get ready to go.
